Getting to San Francisco:
Take BART: The East Bay is well-connected to San Francisco via BART. Many BART stations offer daily and monthly parking for as little as $3/day. If you live far from a Bart station, you can park at the station or take a bike to get there. Download the BART app for the most accurate real-time train tracking.
Ride the Ferry: From Alameda, Oakland, Vallejo, and Richmond, you can also take the ferry to San Francisco. Parking is available at the ferry terminals, and you can bring bikes on board. The ferry drops off at the Ferry Building. View SF Ferry schedules.
Hop on AC Transit: AC Transit provides buses from many neighborhoods in the East Bay to the Salesforce Transit Center. Scroll down the page to check out the Transbay map and schedules.
Catch a WestCat Lynx Bus: If you are based near Hercules, you can take the WestCat Lynx bus to the Salesforce Transit Center in SF.
Once in San Francisco:
You have a few options to get to Mission Bay.
Ride the Mission Bay TMA Shuttle: This free shuttle picks up near the Ferry Building (Mission and Spear), Embarcadero Bart, and the Transbay Terminal. It is about a 20-minute ride to campus. If you're departing from a Transbay or Caltrain stop, view the Transbay-Caltrain schedule online. If you're departing from Powell Bart station, check out the East Route.
Use BayWheels Bikeshare: Pick up a BayWheels bike at the many stations around San Francisco. One option is to ride from Embarcadero along the water on the pedestrian and bike path to Mission Bay. The ride takes 15-20 minutes on a classic bike and as little as 10 minutes on an e-bike. Both bike options are available at BayWheels stations. You can learn more about the BayWheels program online. You can also find the BayWheels bikeshare stations in the app or on the BayWheels station map.
Take Muni: Ride Bart to Powell station and transfer within the station to the T-train headed to Mission Bay. You can also take the 15 bus at Powell Station or the 22 bus from 16th Street Bart. Google Maps can help you check which option comes first based on your timing.
