Purchase Employee Permit Using Wayleadr
Starting November 1, all employee parking permits must be purchased using Wayleadr.
Monthly permit holders renewing their monthly permits after October 19 should do so in Wayleadr.
Getting Started
Once registration opens on October 19, you may create your account by following the steps below.
1. Download Wayleadr and sign in
Tip: Select “Keep me signed in” the first time you log into Wayleadr for a streamlined login experience next time.
- Standard or Extended daily parking: You can begin parking right away using a Standard Daily permit.
- Standard or Extended monthly parking: After creating your Wayleadr account and completing your profile, contact Wayleadr Support through the app or by email support@wayleadr.com, and let them know you need access to a Standard Monthly permit.
- Overnight (N/L) parking: After creating your Wayleadr account and completing your profile, contact Wayleadr Support through the app or by email support@wayleadr.com, and let them know you need access to an Overnight permit.
Daily parkers need to make a reservation through the Wayleadr app and can do so up to 30 days in advance.
Daily parkers should release their space for the days they don't need to park. Doing so within 30-min of the reservation start time will result in an automatic refund. Reserving and releasing spaces help us optimize parking.
Monthly permit holders do not need to make a reservation. Once their permit is active, they have guaranteed bookings during the permit period.
Frequently Asked Questions
About Wayleadr at UCSF
What is Wayleadr?
Wayleadr is a parking and arrivals platform. In the mobile app or web portal, you can see real-time availability, reserve parking in advance, get booking notifications, and access parking based on your parking eligibility.
Why is UCSF using Wayleadr?
Parking at UCSF is limited, and demand shifts by day and location. Wayleadr lets UCSF allocate spaces based on real-time need, track usage, and make data-informed decisions on access and policy. It also supports UCSF’s sustainability goals by encouraging alternatives like carpooling and shuttles, while letting those who need on-site parking plan ahead.
When can I start parking with Wayleadr?
The platform will be open to all UCSF staff who need to purchase a daily or a monthly permit beginning October 19, 2026.
When will Pay by Phone be retired?
UCSF has begun retiring Pay by Phone for certain permits and locations. We are aiming to transition to Wayleadr by the end of November so we can begin implementing additional parking features, upgrades, and enhancements for our community.
Account setup and sign-in
How do I register?
Download the Wayleadr app (available for both iOS or Android) or sign in on the web at app-us.wayleadr.com. (Registration opens on October 19. Attempting to register earlier will result in an error message.) Use your full UCSF email address (FirstName.LastName@UCSF.edu) and password to register your vehicle and begin parking. Monthly parking permit can be requested by contacting Wayleadr support in-app or via email at support@wayleadr.com.
What is my username and password?
Your existing UCSF SSO Campus Email. On the Wayleadr sign-in page, choose Login with SSO and enter your full UCSF email and password. You must use SSO to sign in.
What is Duo Mobile, and why does UCSF use it?
Duo Mobile is a two-factor authentication app. After you enter your password, Duo sends a prompt to your phone to approve the login, or gives you a one-time passcode. UCSF uses it so that even if your password is compromised, only you, with your enrolled device, can access UCSF applications.
How do I access Wayleadr?
Download the Wayleadr app (available for both iOS or Android) or sign in on the web at app-us.wayleadr.com. Use your UCSF SSO credentials.

Do I need a payment card on my profile?

Can I register more than one vehicle?
Yes. Add as many as you need, and choose the vehicle for each booking. Reservations for monthly permits are associated with a your default vehicle. If you park a different vehicle than your default, you will need to update the applicable booking(s). This can be done either before the booking begins or after it has started. When switching a vehicle, Wayleadr will ask whether you want to update all future bookings or only the specific date being edited.
Changes and cancellations
Can I cancel or change a booking?
Yes. Cancel up to 30 minutes before your start time for a full refund. Later cancellations, before or during the booking, aren’t refunded, but please still cancel so someone else can use the space. Changes such as switching vehicles can be made until the day before the booking starts.
