Personal Training FAQs
Do you have group or buddy training?
Yes. Semi-private training is available upon request and is a good way to get the professional use of a trainer at a significant financial discount. Please contact our Fitness Manager, Adrienne at Adrienne.Chambers@ucsf.edu for details and pricing.
If I’m an Off Peak Member, can I only train with a trainer during the scheduled membership time?
No. You can train with a trainer at any time.
Can I participate in Personal Training if I’m not a member?
Yes. You can work with another member in semi-private training or come in as a guest; the guest fee will be waived. Sessions for non-members are paid at the single session rate for any number of sessions.
Can I bring my own trainer into the gym?
No. Our fitness centers have a large team of highly skilled and qualified trainers to serve you. Each trainer that we hire must hold a National training certification. Our trainers are professional individuals who are happy to assist you whenever possible.
Why are there different levels of trainers and rates?
The different levels of trainers represent the education, experience, and specializations of the training staff. All trainers at UCSF are highly-qualified individuals, with multiple certifications.
