Mount Zion Cancer Research Center - Air Intake Design Project
April 2021-March 2022
Facilities Services is upgrading the air intake system in the building with the installation of a glass storefront designed to reduce exhaust, dirt, and debris drawn from the street. The glass wall will also help to maintain light levels of the conference rooms located there while reducing costs to building maintenance.
This project will occur in two phases with the first phase on Sutter Street scheduled to begin on Friday, April 30 and is expected to be complete by end of January 2022. The second phase on Bush Street side will start on Tuesday, September 21 and is expected to complete by March 10, 2022. All work will be performed on the exterior of the building or in the basement level below the air intake system. In order to minimize impact to occupants, work that is noisy and requires electrical or HVAC system shutdowns will be performed on Fridays and Saturdays, when possible. See below for the noise impact schedule.
