Department Overview
Facilities Services is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all UCSF campus instructional, research, and administrative facilities. This includes campus utilities, building maintenance, engineering services, fire and life safety, landscaping, custodial, security services, as well as various aspects of environmental sustainability, such as energy efficiency and refuse and recycling. Our department serves all UCSF main campuses and select UCSF-affiliated locations.
Comprised of nearly 500 staff members, Facilities Services is organized into 5 main operating units: (1) Business Operations Support Center, (2) Building Operations, (3) Engineering and Utilities, (4) Facilities Projects, and (5) General Services.
