FAQs
How long does it take after signing up to get access to the lot?
Requests typically take 2-3 business days once the PayByPhone payment has been processed. If you sign up more than a week before the beginning of the month you would like to begin parking, your request may take longer than 2-3 days to process, but you will receive your QR code before the 1st of the month. Once your request is processed, you will receive an email with a QR code to access the garage.
How do I pay for parking?
Please sign up using the form above. The form contains more information about making your payment in Touchnet. If you are a returning parker, you can pay for your next month of parking by visiting Touchnet here.
Can I use pre-tax commuter benefits?
Yes. You can read more about pre-tax benefits here.
How do I access the lot?
Once your application has been processed, you will receive a link to a QR access code from the garage operator. The email will come from eticketing@skidata.com and will likely arrive to your 'Other' or 'Spam' inboxes. You will need to download the pass and load it to your Apple or Google Wallet. Your QR code will remain the same each month.
When entering the garage, wait until the gate is in the down position, and then place the active QR code face up below the reader. You will use this QR code to scan when entering and exiting the garage. Do not pull a ticket when you enter the garage; you only need to present the QR code. When at the gate, hold the QR under the reader that can be found at the bottom left of the ticket machine.
Please scan your QR code where the hand is in the photo.

If you have any issues using your QR code at the garage, use the intercom or pull a ticket to enter; then, go to the office on-site for them to fix the issue and void your ticket. You will also need to present them with the pass number you were issued when your request was processed.
Please also remove any plastic license plate covers from your vehicle.
The north entrance of the garage is on 10th Avenue and Fulton Street. The south entrance is on Music Concourse Drive at Martin Luther King Drive inside Golden Gate Park.
What if I need to park overnight, on weekends, or on holidays?
The Music Concourse Garage Park and Ride permit enables you to park on weekends and holidays in the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) garage at Parnassus Heights. If you need overnight parking at Parnassus, you will need to purchase the N or L permit listed on the UCSF employee Pay for Parking page.
What if I need to cancel my parking?
We kindly ask that you submit your cancellation request by the 12th of the month to cancel your parking at the end of that month. To cancel, please fill out this form or email park.ride@ucsf.edu.
Can I skip a month of parking if I do not need it and then rejoin?
There is no option to place your parking on hold. If you don’t need parking for a month, you’ll need to cancel your enrollment. When you’re ready to return, you can sign up again through the standard process, but you may incur a reactivation fee required by the garage.
Where in the garage can I park?
Spaces for UCSF are reserved on Basement Level B2, on the De Young side of the garage (Green). You can enter from either entrance, but you will have the most direct access if you enter from Fulton Street and 10th Avenue.
