At UCSF, we follow a Single Stream Recycling program. This allows you to place ALL recyclable materials into your blue recycle bin - no need to have a separate bin for bottles and cans. The following can be Recycled at UCSF Paper cups (ex. coffee cup) Paper milk & juice cartons Aseptic (soymilk & soup cartons, juice boxes) Aluminum Cans & Foil Paper (staples + paper clips okay) Plastic & Glass Bottles / Jars Plastic Tubs + Lids Cardboard CDs and Diskettes Pipette Tip Boxes (clean) Reagent bottles (dry) Rigid plastics Plastic that retains its shape is recyclable. However, paper towels/napkins/tissues are always to be composted. Not recycled!
