UCSF Advisory Forums for Sustainability and Climate Action
UCSF’s sustainability, climate action and decarbonization forums are sponsored by leadership and promote cross-campus collaboration. Through the enterprise and the academic committee, the health advisory group, and a broad community of practice, UCSF advances its environmental commitments and drives innovative and effective change. These groups provide strategic advice, direction, and implementation pathways that guide UCSF towards goals related to green buildings, zero waste, renewable and efficient energy, transportation, and supply chain as well as a 90% reduction in operational carbon emissions by 2045
UCSF Advisory Committee on Sustainability & Decarbonization (UACSD)
The Advisory Committee on Sustainability & Decarbonization serves as UCSF's primary sustainability and decarbonization forum, providing representative feedback, identifying gaps and opportunities, supporting long-range planning, and advancing collaboration and innovation across the Campus and Health enterprise. The committee helps inform institutional priorities and implementation of UC Sustainable Practices Policy, UCSF policy requirements, and UCSF sustainability and decarbonization commitments. This committee includes membership of administrators, faculty, staff and students.

UCSF Health Sustainability Advisory Group
The charge of the committee is to advise on strategies and priorities to advance UCSF’s role as a leader in sustainable healthcare. This is accomplished by supporting implementation of sustainable healthcare practices with a focus on clinical and acute care related to energy, carbon emissions, water use, waste reduction, sustainable food, sustainable supply chain, green buildings, and toxics reduction.

UCSF Academic Senate Committee on Sustainability
The Academic Senate Committee on Sustainability reviews and recommends actions on issues pertaining to UCSF's environmental sustainability. The Committee promotes efforts to increase environmental sustainability in the curriculum and awareness of the importance of sustainability at UCSF, with a focus on activities under the purview of faculty.

UCSF Sustainability Community of Practice (CoP)
Sponsored by the Office of Sustainability and Health Sustainability, the Sustainability Community of Practice (CoP) is a collaborative forum that brings together the UCSF community to connect, share expertise, and advance sustainability across Campus and Health. The CoP creates opportunities to exchange ideas and best practices, identify challenges and opportunities, strengthen coordination across departments and locations, and support implementation of UCSF and UC sustainability goals. Participation is open to members of the UCSF community interested in contributing to and learning about sustainability efforts across the enterprise.
