We help tell your story.
Creative Strategy and Production
CLS Marketing partners closely with our design and production partners in Documents & Media to execute on campaigns large and small. We begin each project with a kick-off meeting with our clients to capture project goals, project scope, business insights, budget, and any stylistic requirements or preferences. We turn this into a strategic project brief that documents the rationale for design, editorial, and production decisions. This process ensures that design and copy choices are thoughtful, relevant, impactful—and timely.
Feature Articles, Copywriting, and Content Curation
Style matters. News articles follow the AP (Associated Press) stylebook. Copy and content for marketing campaigns and social media take a less formal approach. For the record, we’re very fond of the Oxford comma.
Feature articles developed by Marketing appear on our websites and occasionally in Pulse, the UCSF-wide newsletter. We manage the main social media accounts for Campus Life Services (CLS) and social media accounts for CLS business units, upon request. When developing campaigns, we look across the spectrum of channels and develop messaging that not only resonates with your audience but is also most effective for the broadcast channel: E-mail, digital ads, websites, the official UCSF mobile app, and marketing collateral.
Brand Stewardship
For ourselves and our UCSF clients, we adhere to UCSF brand standards in all of our communications including editorial style, color, fonts, and more. We encourage everyone to learn more about the UCSF brand standards by visiting: identity.ucsf.edu
