Intro Classes
Introductory classes serve as a gateway for individuals who are new to a particular form of exercise or activity. These 20-minute classes are designed to provide a welcoming and supportive environment to build a foundation of knowledge, skills, and confidence. This year, we are excited to offer Intro Classes for BodyPump, Cycling, and Yoga!
Intro to BodyPump
Introduction to Equipment and Techniques
Participants learn how to use barbells, weights, and other equipment used in BodyPump classes. They also receive instruction on proper lifting techniques and form.
Basic Movements
Intro classes often focus on fundamental exercises and movements used in BodyPump, allowing participants to grasp the basic concepts before advancing to more complex routines.
Understanding Intensity
Participants learn how to adjust the intensity of their workouts by modifying weights and repetitions, ensuring a safe and effective exercise experience.
Intro to Cycling
Bike Setup and Safety
Participants are taught how to properly set up their stationary bikes for optimal comfort and safety. This includes adjusting seat height, handlebar position, and understanding resistance levels.
Riding Techniques
Intro classes cover basic cycling techniques, such as seated and standing positions, pedal strokes, and how to adjust resistance to simulate different terrains.
Understanding Metrics
Participants learn how to interpret and use metrics like speed, resistance, and cadence to tailor their workouts to their fitness goals.
