As part of our commitment to enhancing the member experience, we transitioned to a new member management system and app on January 1, 2025. This upgrade brought many exciting features designed to make check-ins, reservations, and navigation easier.

NEW! Features Coming October 1
- Track your health journey all in one place: Use the "+" icon to log workouts, activity, body stats, sleep, and meals, as well as build your own workouts with a library of exercise videos.
- Try new workout programs: Use the kettlebell icon to discover quarterly workout programs designed by our fitness team to keep your training exciting and goal oriented.
- Stay connected with groups and messaging: New community and training groups for F45, Masters Swimming, Personal Training, and Pilates are designed to help you stay motivated, receive important updates, and stay connected to the community, trainers and instructors.
- Earn badges and milestones: Celebrate your progress and earn recognition for your hard work.
- Integrate your fitness wearables: Go to the three dots in the bottom right of the app and scroll to the "connect" section to sync your fitness tracker or smartwatch for seamless activity tracking.

Principal Purpose for Collection
The principal purpose for collecting information through the UCSF Campus Life Services (CLS) mobile application is to provide optional integration with third-party fitness tracking services (such as Apple Health, Garmin, or similar platforms) to support your personal wellness goals. If enabled, this integration may import information such as steps, heart rate, activity type and duration, sleep scores, body weight, and nutritional logs into the CLS app to personalize your fitness tracking experience.
Authority
This information is collected under the authority of the University of California in support of campus wellness and recreational services.
Voluntary or Mandatory Disclosure
Providing this information is voluntary. You may choose whether or not to connect a fitness device. If you do not provide this information, you may still use other features of the CLS mobile application.
Routine Disclosures and Uses
The information collected is used only to provide the fitness tracking feature described above. It is not intended for clinical or diagnostic purposes, and it is not routinely shared with UCSF Health or medical providers. CLS does not sell your personal information. Data is disclosed only as required by law.
Individual Rights
Individuals may request access to the information maintained by CLS and may ask that corrections be made. Fitness data imported from third-party applications (such as Apple Health or Garmin) must be corrected within those source applications; corrected information will appear in the CLS app once re-synced. Individuals may also request deletion of data maintained by CLS.
Retention and Disposal
Personal information collected through this integration will be retained only as long as necessary to provide the fitness tracking service and in accordance with applicable University records retention schedules. You may request copies of or deletion of your information by contacting the official listed below.
