To use lactation rooms, you must register for badge access.
Once registered, you'll receive a confirmation email from lactationprogram@ucsf.edu with your badge access details and a link to the Lactation Room Dashboard for keypad codes.

Left your badge at home and need access to the UCSF lactation rooms?
If you’ve left your badge at home, you can request a temporary badge from Medical Center Security. This temporary badge will sync with the access permissions already assigned to your profile, including building entry and lactation room access.
- Mission Bay: Visit Medical Security at the Emergency Department in the Children’s Hospital (1975 4th Street).
- Parnassus: Visit Medical Security at the Emergency Department (505 Parnassus Avenue).
Be sure to return the temporary badge at the end of the day.
Important: Do not report your badge as lost or request a replacement if it’s just been forgotten; this can deactivate your current badge and result in unnecessary charges. Once you retrieve your original badge, Medical Center Security can reapply your access as needed.
