Sittercity, A Bright Horizons Service
The market leader in the online sitter space, Sittercity connects you with options for occasional and long-term care of your furry or feathered friend (in addition to offering listings for nannies, sitters, adult/elder care companions, tutors, and other in-home helpers.)
UC/UCSF pays for web subscription access to Sittercity resources for eligible faculty, staff, and learners (a $180 value). Web access allows you to evaluate pet sitter profiles and reviews, run unlimited free basic background checks (a $20 value), post jobs, and more. You make all the arrangements, including hiring and paying the provider.
Note: If you are faculty or staff, be sure that you qualify for this benefit by first visiting UCnet. If eligible, you can register for Sittercity by using your 8-digit UCPath number. Eligibility for one Bright Horizons service does not automatically ensure eligibility for every Bright Horizons program or service.
