Pre Order Guidance
In limited circumstances, UCSF affiliates may be eligible for reimbursement of dependent travel expenses, including milk shipping expenses, directly associated with official University business travel. Please refer to the Travel-Related Dependent Care page to follow the required pre-approval process before placing your Milk Stork order. Employees should consult with their departments on funding for these expenses. The employees and their departments are solely responsible for ensuring all costs are allowable per any special provisions of the grant, contract, gift, or the funding agency’s regulations or policies.

How It Works
UCSF affiliates place an order for shipping from Milk Stork at least 5 days in advance of a scheduled business event. This allows for Milk Stork to ship supplies and equipment to you in a timely manner. Milk Stork will try to accommodate orders if made less than 5 days from the event date, but cannot guarantee your shipment will be fulfilled in time to meet your travel needs.
- Ship options for refrigerated and frozen milk.
- Carry On and Checked options for fresh, refrigerated, and frozen milk.
FedEx Shipping: Overnight shipping of refrigerated breast milk via FedEx. Includes a medical grade cooler, storage bags, FedEx shipping label, and adhesive seals. The cooler maintains milk refrigeration for up to 72 or 96 hours.
