Building Management Systems and Controls
We responsibly manage and maintain UCSF’s building systems to advance our healthcare, research, and carbon reduction goals through the effective use of building operational technology. Our BMS team is engaged with stakeholders from across the organization to keep our applications valuable for end-users. As new technologies are implemented and our systems grow, both internal and external resources are consulted to ensure the efficacy of our deployments.
Commissioning
Through our commissioning process, we oversee the installation of new building systems to ensure UCSF’s standards and specifications are followed. Building systems are checked against performance criteria that can be historically referenced to ensure systems stay optimized throughout the building’s life. The team supports research operations through on-going building system monitoring, and meeting requirements for AALAC accreditation. Transitioning new buildings into our portfolio is another area that our commissioning process encompasses. Leaders from all programs are invited to participate in these transitions to keep them informed and receive input from them to ensure each new building is ready to receive its occupants.
User Onboarding and BMS Access
New users need to onboard for access and devices by contacting bmssystems@ucsf.edu.
