Since 2018, the First Impressions Program has brought about campus facility improvements with an aim to bolster the daily experience of UCSF faculty, staff, learners, and patients. The annual contest supports projects by awarding grants to a few select projects that go towards improving and beautifying campus spaces. Projects are judged on their overall campus impact and feasibility. They are limited to campus spaces that will make a significant first impression on students, staff, faculty and visitors.
Program Timeline for 2025: To be determined. Check back in early summer for more details.
Projects completed over the past six years included landscaping common spaces, sprucing up entrances to buildings, renovating student lounges and hallways, and upgrading faculty and staff break rooms, to name a few. See a list of completed projects below.
