1964
Documents & Media began as the Duplicating Department of the University of California Medical Center
• Our first Administrative Office was in the Old Clinics Building on Parnassus.
• Our main print shop was located on Judah Street at 31st Avenue.
1972
Our Quick Copy Center was opened in the School of Nursing to manage mimeograph copying
1976
Created and managed the first Consolidated Copier Program at UCSF, managing shared satellite copiers around Parnassus
1989
Celebrated 25 years of service at UCSF
1990
Added digital production presses for large volume monochrome & color jobs and large format jobs
2004
Celebrated 40 years of service at UCSF
2005
Shifted all in-house print work to all digital presses
2006
Added basic video production capability to tell campus stories and support training efforts
2007
Added photography to make location photos and portraits available to departments
2009
Expanded our managed print services launching the UCSF Print Management Program
Took on management of the UC Hastings Law (now UC Law SF) business center, providing
printing services to the College and supporting their print device fleet for student and
department printing
2010
Expanded our services to UC Berkeley and UC Office of the President (UCOP) for managed print services and campus printing, working from the Moffitt Copy Center
2014
Celebrated 50 years of service at UCSF
2016
Opened a DM Service Center at Mission Bay in Mission Hall
2018
Launched the STUDIO Experience to support requests for digital design and application & web development
2019
Celebrated 10 years of service at UC Hastings Law
2020
Celebrated 10 years of service at UC Berkeley
2021
Celebrated 10 years of service managing the Moffit Copy Center in partnership with the UC Library at UC Berkeley
2024
