After your initial completion of the listed required courses upon entry to UCSF, CLS employees enter a Quarterly cycle of trainings according to the following schedule:
Quarter 1 (Jan. - Mar.):
- UC Cyber Security Awareness Fundamentals (taken annually, or as updated; approx. 1 hour)
- UCSF Foundations in Anti-Discrimination (required one time/for all new hires, or as updated; approx. 1 hour)
Quarter 2 (Apr. - Jun.):
- UC Sexual Violence and Harassment, Anti-Discrimination, Prevention and Education (SHAPE) Training (taken every 2 years, or as updated; mandated 2 hours for supervisory staff / approx. 1 hour for non-supervisory staff)
- UC Workplace Violence Prevention (taken annually, or as updated; approx. 25 mins.)
- UC Abusive Conduct in the Workplace (required one time/for all new hires, or as updated; approx. 20 mins.)
- General Compliance Briefing: University of California Ethical Values and Conduct (taken every 2 years, or as updated; approx. 30 mins.)
Quarter 3 (Jul. - Sep.):
- Campus Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) (required one time/for all new hires, or as updated; approx. 15 mins.)
Quarter 4 (Oct. - Dec.):
- HIPAA 101 - Privacy and Security for New UCSF Faculty, Staff, Trainees, Students and Volunteers (required one time/for all new hires, or as updated; approx. 1 hour)
- Heat Illness (required one time/for all new hires, or as updated; approx. 20 mins.)
