Join us for an educational session on how to use transferable skills during interviews. This is a prime opportunity to learn how to use transferable skills during the interview process at UCSF.
The session's features include:
A guest panel of current UCSF CLS managers highlighting inspiring success stories and interviews from within UCSF. A dynamic Q&A session for personalized advice and guidance on how to use transferrable skills in interviews. There will be a short session for practicing the skills/information you learned. Bring your resume and target job description as you will have the opportunity during the mock interview session. Handouts with Tips: We will have handouts in Spanish, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

Professional Headshots (Mission Bay)
Have you always wanted your own professional headshot but never had the chance? CLS People Month and CLS Communications are teaming up to offer this fantastic opportunity to support the professional growth of CLS staff. Participants will receive a high-quality digital photo perfect for virtual interviews, LinkedIn, Zoom, and more. The event includes a 10-minute portrait session with one retouched image returned. The photo shoot will take place at two locations (Mission Bay and Mission Center Building) and is limited to 15 participants per day, with priority given to those who do not yet have a professional headshot. To ensure a smooth and polished photoshoot experience, be sure to register in advance. Confirmed participants will receive notification of a specific 10-minute timeslot.

AVC Speaker Series w/Peter Chin-Hong, MD
As a featured session during People Month, we are excited to kick off this year's AVC Speaker Series 2025 with Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, professor of clinical medicine, School of Medicine and associate dean for regional campuses! You might recognize Chin-Hong from the monthly UCSF Town Halls. He presents on developing health news, inserts trends, and pop-culture references and as a result has one of the most popular segments called Health News You Can Use.
When he’s not at the town hall, Chin-Hong specializes in treating infectious diseases. He has a focus on infections that develop in immunosuppressed patients, such as recipients of organ and stem cell transplants, particularly HIV-positive recipients of organ transplants. His findings have been published in numerous journals and books. Chin-Hong earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in infectious diseases at UCSF. In addition to patient care, Chin-Hong is the associate dean for regional campuses at the UCSF School of Medicine. He has received several prestigious teaching awards from UCSF.
