To enhance the safety and usability of UCSF parking facilities, the UCSF Parking & Transportation team is scheduling a re-striping project at the Millberry Union and Ambulatory Care Center parking garages at the Parnassus Heights campus. This project will ensure clear, refreshed markings for parking spaces and improved accessibility for all users.
When Will It Happen?
- Dates: Saturday, Dec. 23, 2024 at 5 p.m. – Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2025 at 6 a.m.
- Work Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with some activities potentially extending into the evening, depending on the progress.
How Can You Prepare?
During this time, there will be four alternative parking lots available to staff, patients, and visitors. View a map of all parking locations and directions.
- Ambulatory Care Center garage on Irving St. is available for limited parking
- Westside Lot at 50 Kirkham St.
- Kezar Stadium Lot at 825 Stanyan St.
- 350 Parnassus Ave.
Vehicles parked overnight in the ACC Garage must be relocated by 8 a.m. daily to accommodate work crews.
The Parking & Transportation team will have ambassadors on-site to answer questions and give directions.
What Should You Expect?
- Noise: Equipment used for re-striping may generate some noise, but efforts will be made to minimize disruptions.
- Temporary Traffic Changes: Large vehicles involved in transporting materials may cause brief delays along Irving Street. Crews will prioritize keeping traffic flowing smoothly.
Why Is This Important?
This re-striping project is part of UCSF’s commitment to maintaining safe and accessible parking facilities. Freshly marked spaces improve navigation and accessibility for all patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring that UCSF’s facilities remain welcoming and functional.
