On October 3, the Office of Sustainability hosted an Electrification Workshop to teach community members how to cut carbon emissions by taking advantage of local and regional energy rebates towards electric home solutions.
Guest speakers included Home Energy Assessor Joseph Chen, Lauren Wan of Bay Area SunShares, Annika Osborn of Ride and Drive Clean, and UCSF Sustainability Director Gail Lee, who shared about the E-Bike Purchase Program & CCA Rebates. At the end of the hybrid workshop, two lucky attendees: Danielle Casey Callaghan and Rudy Asuncion won a drawing for a new induction hotplate.
Workshop attendee Elicia Rozic, Assistant Director of Development, Training & Engagement at Campus Life Services found the workshop informative and helpful.
"I was excited to hear about the Electrification Workshop so that I could learn more about what I can do to make my home more efficient, as well as the various discounts and rebates that are offered."
