The UCSF Advisory Committee on Sustainability (UACS) is pleased to announce the 12th Annual Sustainability Awards for 2024, which will recognize campus staff, UCSFH staff, student, resident, faculty, and a team for their contributions to sustainability at UCSF. More than ever before, the UCSF community is taking action to mitigate climate change and support sustainability.
Please take a moment to nominate a green champion—staff, student, resident, faculty, or a team who deserves recognition for their sustainability efforts. You may also consider nominating yourself or your team. All the nominations are due by March 31.
The ideal candidate is an individual or group that has:
- engaged the campus/health system in an ongoing dialogue about reaching UCSF’s environmental sustainability goals;
- gone above and beyond the duties of their position to integrate environmental sustainability into existing programs in education, research, operations, and public service; and/or
- instilled a culture of sustainable practices among their peers.
- Shown a positive impact on UCSF’s sustainability goals.
The nominee must be employed/enrolled at UCSF or an affiliate of UCSF.
Winners will be announced and presented by the Chancellor at the Sustainability Awards Ceremony on June 6, 2024 4 - 5 p.m. at Obendorf Auditorium/Genentech Hall, Mission Bay. The UCSF community will be invited to attend to celebrate our deserving winners.
Winners will receive an artist-created framed award certificate, campuswide recognition, and a gift bag.
