What do you really do at CLS?
I assist residents with inquiries, move in and out of housing, and support a number of departments such as finance, assignments, and facilities.
What is your favorite part of the job?
I enjoy interacting with residents from all around the globe. I also love it when I can make them feel at home by speaking their language.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out at UCSF?
Never give up, and network everywhere you go.
What did you do before coming to UCSF or CLS?
I started as an intern for the radiology department and then transitioned to Housing.
Where'd you grow up?
San Francisco, Bay Area. My father immigrated from Mexico, and my mother is from the Bay Area.
What do you do for yourself when you're not working?
Lots of self-care, getting beauty sleep, skincare routine, and makeup for fun.
