Breastfeeding Awareness Month serves as a call to action to advance policies and environments that support all families, while uplifting the voices and solutions of those most impacted.
The 2026 theme, RISE: Resilience, Interdependence, Self-Determination, and Empowerment, centers the strength and collective power of the First Food field. It highlights how individuals, families, and communities build and sustain systems of support that make breast/chestfeeding possible.
