UC San Francisco Custodial Services at Parnassus Heights recently completed a successful relocation from the School of Nursing Building (SON), Suite N241, to Millberry Union (MU), 246.

This move is part of the Parnassus Central Campus Site Improvements (PCCSI) program, a campus-wide initiative that aims to improve the "heart of campus".
This includes extended utilities support, energy efficiency opportunities, and landscaping that will support both existing structures and the forthcoming UCSF Barbara and Gerson Bakar Research and Academic Building (BRAB) Promenade.
The relocation of Custodial Services is an essential step in the progression of this project.
"Relocating Custodial Services from SON Level 02 to Millberry Union Level 02 was the final step in decanting the SON building, allowing interior abatement and soft demolition to begin. The move effort included collaboration with teams from UCSF Real Estate, UCSF Custodial Services, Facilities Services Lock Shop, and UCSF ITS," Real Estate Senior Project Manager Sheila Laub said.
The new Custodial Services office includes upgrades that will provide team members with a comfortable and supportive work environment, while also providing a welcoming space for visitors.
The new Custodial Services Office has been set up with work stations, a rest area, and a designated change area.
"The importance and significance of this relocation is that these locations house the operations of around 90 Custodians, 5 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., 7 days a week. They now have a dedicated break room and uniform room," Custodial Superintendent of West Campus Juan Ayala said.
Laub expressed her gratitude to Custodial Services for their collaboration in making the move a success.
"Sincere thanks to UCSF Custodial Services for your flexibility and patience during this transition—Juan’s guidance, along with the support from Marielena [Parra Contreras] and Cynthia [Jackson], was invaluable," Laub said.
Visitors may now visit the new West Campus Custodial Office at Millberry Union (MU), 246 located at 500 Parnassus Ave.
